Biography
Dr. Jothi Clara J Micheal had her professional journey over the past 28 years reaching pinnacle positions in both academia and clinical services, challenging various capacities and leadership majority in India and few years abroad. Her areas of interest and research accomplishments have been on women’s health, quality of care, accreditation and nursing profession. Present Placement:(From December 2017- Till date) Chief Clinical Governance officer, Kauvery Hospital, Corporate Office (from September 2009), she has functioned as the Chief of Nursing, at the Nursing Directorate of the Global Hospitals Chennai and elevated to Group Director of Nursing for Global Hospitals of India (2013) and further got her position expanded to Director - Nursing & Quality Gleneagles Global Hospitals India in 2016 representing Indian operations Division for PPL. She has been instrumental in the designing and setting up of the Directorate of Nursing with four fold dimension - Practice, Education, Research and Administration. She has lead the team with system building, branding, to bring nursing at Global Hospitals to visibility, and has been a key person in restructuring and reframing nursing care and practice at Global Hospital Chennai group for NABH & JCI Accreditation. She has standardized nursing care with Evidence Based implementation of Nursing Care and has developed strategic plans for nursing, being a member in the Senior Leadership Team and the Strategic Planning Team of Global Hospital Groups. She was instrumental in establishing MoU between GHC and University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh USA, RCSI Bahrain, Birmingham University, UK and with SQU CON, Sultanate of Oman. She prepared and qualified the 4 hospitals for NABH Nursing Excellence (NE) Certification with First in Tamilnadu State, First in Telangana state and First in Karnataka state.
