Biography
Dr. Aghdam is Professor of Solid Mechanics and Director of Research Department at Amirkabir University of Technology, (Tehran Polytechnic). He received his BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Tech. and Amirkabir University of Tech., respectively. He continued his study in micromechanics of composites materials in University of Bristol, UK (1996 – 1999). Since then, he has been involved in various mechanical engineering research collaborations including computational mechanics, micromechanics and multiscale modeling of composites and smart materials, damage mechanics of composites, vibration/buckling/post buckling of nanostructures and additively manufactured porous biomaterials. His research group has published several book chapters and more than 220 articles in well-known peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.
